This came in the mail today. Oh, I can so get used to this; receiving gifts and presents every day. Ok..ok…I am now getting cheeky.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our friendship. You had been a great friend to me. And, I still remember the exact moment when you asked if you can take the seat beside me in St. David and we started talking. It’s wonderful to find out that even after 4 and a plus years later, we are still friends and going strong. I am glad you are not one of those friends that came and went. You stayed. And, I am glad you did.
I know it’s not an easy time for you now. But I do understand your situation and the increasing anxiety that comes with it. It is no fun to be in such situation. But seriously, believe me when I say that everything will work out sooner or later. Just don’t lose sight of the bigger picture and try to stay optimistic. I know it is easier said than to be done. But do hang in there! I am sure something will turn up at the least expected time. Whatever you do, don’t give up.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.” –Calvin Coolidge

And, thanks again for the lovely surprise!
