This review is of my opinion and experience during the period I was there. It is in no way represent the opinion of others.

Date stayed: 1 Dec 2012 – 28 Dec 2012

Type of Room: Double Deluxe/AC

Paid: USD$11

0134 Phum Wat Bo, Khum Salakomreuk, Siem Reap, Cambodia

2. Awesome service

3. Great staff

4. Functional and homey

5. Easy going

6. Have great Tuk Tuk drivers

1. TV in our room doesn’t work. (This didn’t bother us as we just didn’t have time to be watching tv)

2. A really slow sink drain in the bathroom sink. It really need to get looked at.

3. Keeping everything on tab instead paying on the spot. It’s hard for budgeting and I was worrying about overspending or they charging me more.

4. No locker or safety box.

I have absolutely love my stay in Happy Angkor Guesthouse. Mainly because they made me feel easy. No pressure whatsoever. They even organise a small Christmas party while we were there which were kind of funny. Because the staff party harder than the guests. The owner gave guests Christmas present which was really nice of her.

The atmosphere is great and it is within walking distance to Pub Street, Night Market and Post Office. They are pretty much central near the Siem Reap River.

They are also very helpful in organising trips or in any case, anything at all for you without being pushy which make everything even more comfortable for its guest.

Not all staff can speak English but with that they substitute with lots of smile. There’s a few staff with reasonable good English who is always around to assist you.

Do use their Tuk Tuk when you are there. It’s well organised and trustworthy. It was our mistake for avoiding it the first day thinking that the guesthouse would overcharged but we learnt the hard way but not a bad experience. We later decided to have Koeun (Tuk Tuk Driver) whom picked us up on our arrival to bring us around for the rest of the trip. (Will write another post regarding the recommended Tuk Tuk Driver in Siem Reap)

Overall we had a great time in Siem Reap and staying with Happy Angkor Guesthouse. Wished we had stayed longer. I would surely go back.

P/S: Try their yummilicious fruit shake while you are there.
