You Need To Take a Break !

I’m dedicating this particular post to all my busy busy busy crazily hard-working friends back home and to myself; to always remember to take a break once in a while. And, it’s alright to take a break.

Doesn’t matter if it’s just two days, or few weeks or even months, but, it is just important to step away and let go for a few days to remind ourselves what’s matter in life. In other word, re-accessing your life. I know making a living is important. I know for the fact, without money, you are seriously going nowhere in the current community. But, we don’t want to lose ourself to it. Be the slave of the working community and the slave of money. You want to be able to work hard and able to enjoy the fruit of your work. Spend some time alone to gather your thoughts and recharge. It’s a good way to rejuvenate and, know that you love yourself. Coz, I believe with only loving yourself, then you are capable of loving others.

Do something that you enjoy doing. Maybe some personal projects that you have been putting off a long time; like photography, scrapbooking, cooking, baking or just laze around with your love one. It’s good to put your mind at work with things you enjoy. Or just go outdoor and enjoy the weather. Doesn’t matter where, as long as you are out. See the trees around you, look at the bird or if you really can’t get enough of the concrete jungle, then go shopping [but, do leave your credit card at home, you don’t want to get even more stressful at the end of the month when your bills come].

Another healthier way is get into shape. Do some exercise. Work out. You don’t have start pushing yourself to try do jogging for 1 hour or push up a hundred time. Start slow. Enjoy it and then, you will only be able to stick to the routine. It doesn’t have to be cardio workout. It can be joining a dance group, taking your dog for a walk, yoga or just go to the park with your friend.

Last but not least, remember to pamper yourself. Manicure, pedicure? or even, a facial treatment, a massage, going to the spa or sauna. It helps you to have some time to yourself , to relax and to just forget about the world for a little while. And, don’t forget to spend times with the people who are important to you. Doesn’t matter how you do it; just don’t wait too long coz no one stick around forever. ~ if you know what I mean.

Hmmmmmm…..I sound boring! But, I’m being really sincere here. You and me need to take a break sometime and breath!
